Washington Park Sunset Session | Ancortes, WA Family Photographer

Holy cow you guys - this session was exactly what I needed. The crazy weather we've had lately, with glimpses of sunshine followed by dreary days of rain, has really put a damper on my busy schedule as spring and summer shooting season kicks off. This particular evening however, we got a lucky with a GORGEOUS sun-soaked Anacortes evening as I had the pleasure of documenting the most amazing, fun, Australian(!) family.

The Stalling family has been stationed in the U.S. for several years now as their Royal Australian Navy squadron trained at NAS Whidbey Island. I've had the pleasure of working with several Australian families from the same group, and they might be the few (or only?!) sessions where I try not to blabber on too much and instead listen intently to the beautiful accents as each family plays and loves on each other.

Leigh and Conrad are such lovely people, and they have a lot on their plates right now as they prepare to move back to Australia this summer. Talk about a cross-country (actually, continent) move! That kind of puts my Texas-to-Washington move to Whidbey Island into perspective. Ha! But if anyone can do it, it's this family. Their girls are so stinking sweet, and they are so excited to meet their new little sister(!) when she makes her appearance in the fall.

With so much to look forward to, Leigh and Conrad wanted to capture a slice of the Pacific Northwest in their family session, so that they can look back at their time here and remember all the wonderful memories they made together. You will be missed Stalling family!
