I am finally getting back with the program and starting to blog all the gorgeous sessions I was lucky enough to shoot this fall. With the weather getting rainy, I can’t think of anything better than grabbing a comfy blanket, lighting a pumpkin candle, and sharing Savannah and Nick’s amazing couples session with you.

And with all the anticipation and delight that comes with that wonderful, life-changing news, they wanted to embrace and document the chapter of their lives when it was still just two. We shot a beautiful couples session at Bowman Bay, and I watched these two amazing souls melt into each other. It was so lovely, and honest, and beautiful.

And seeing Katie and Brad's first homecoming reunion brought back all the butterflies that I remember from seeing Ryan walk off that plane and back into my arms during our first deployment. Luckily for me, they made a stop in Coupeville to spend a few days relaxing Whidbey Island-style. These two quickly won me over with their sweet demeanor and genuine, positive outlook on life and marriage.

I don't shoot a ton of couples-only sessions, but after this amazing night, I might just be changing my tune. Since Katie is also a photographer (check out her beautiful work here), I knew I wanted to knock it out of the park for her and Brad. And man, we got a gorgeous night. A beautiful sun filtering through the trees? Check. A gorgeous, soft sunset that matched the colors of Katie's dress to perfection? Check. But the number one reason I'm oohing and ahhing over each image in this gallery? The two lovebirds below.
