Golden Hour Family Session on Whidbey Island | Kara Chappell Photography
First, thank you
In times like these I want to acknowledge how grateful I am to all of my clients. I'm so thankful that you trust me to work with your families, that you invite me into your lives and your homes, and especially that you return year after year.
I've worked with the McGrath family every year since I moved to Whidbey Island (FIVE years ago!). They were one of the first families I photographed in Washington, and they've been such amazing clients (and friends!) ever since. I got to document the addition of baby Charlie to the family a few years back, and have watched these FIVE amazing kids grow in front of my eyes these past few years.
As the fog rolled in...
As I catch up on blogging (because who wants to organize the garage anyway?!), I'm a little embarrassed to admit that this session is actually over a year old! I have an even newer McGrath family session to blog next. ;) This was definitely a memorable evening though, because the THICKEST FOG rolled in as we were driving to our location. We had to do a little investigating, but realized that the beaches on the other side of town weren't affected.
So we headed to the Seaplane base on Whidbey Island for a perfectly lovely evening. And bonus - it was a totally new location for me! We had a blast (as always), and played, laughed, danced, and basically followed baby Charlie around. He's an independent little man!
Help me, help you
I can't wait to see where this year's session will take us. And I have a few spots open for May and June if you want to start planning YOUR family's portrait session NOW! Actually, I'll take care of all the planning (location, styling, keeping your kids in line, etc.). You can just show up!
