Legacy Family Session at Rosario Bay | Mayfield Family | Kara Chappell Photography
What can I say about this beautiful woman and her amazing family? It was such a treat to hang with them and document their incredible connection.
When Aisha and I talked about her vision for her family session, she mentioned over and over how important it was to her to document their family together - and NOW. After losing several loved ones over the past few years, she was shook at how precious life is and wished she had taken more pictures and collected more memories when she could.
As moms we put off getting in frame - until the weather is perfect, until the kids' teeth come back in, until we find the perfect outfit, until we feel good enough about ourselves to allow someone to take our picture.
But life is short friends. And your kids see you, and love you, every day. They deserve to have pictures with you. And you deserve it too. Don't put it off.
I also love how Aisha included her mother (and the kids’ amazing Grandma) in their session. All of my sessions include space for up to six people, so those with grandparents who live close (or far away, but are visiting!) are always welcome to get in the frame too.
I like to focus mainly on the immediate family, but I also capture images of the whole fam together, and individual, special moments with grandparents and their grandchildren.
I’ve been blessed to know and have grown up around my grandparents (and even a great-grandmother), and those connections are so special and unique. I’m so thankful that Aisha recognized the need to stop time and document her family in this moment. She’s given a gift to her mother, her children, and herself with this session. Well done mama.
