A Season of Love on Whidbey Island | Oak Harbor, WA Family Photographer

It was such a blessing to be able to work with this sweet family again. Last spring I had such a blast documenting a very special weekend for Jackie and Cooper, when friends and family gathered from across the country to celebrate their baby boy's baptism and first birthday. 

Both mom and dad have incredibly busy schedules as they both serve in the Navy, so when Jackie reached out to me in the middle of my busy season, I was thrilled that both of our schedules aligned for a family session after a cancellation left a perfectly lovely evening open. We headed to Deception Pass State Park and took full advantage of the fields and beach that show off the simple perfection of Whidbey Island. 

I love the experience of really getting to know my clients, working with wonderful families again and again to capture their story at different special and memorable moments. And I'm happy to say that I've already got my next session booked with the Nordan fam, although it will be under pretty different circumstances. It will be my first homecoming to document a mama returning home from deployment. 

Which is why Jackie and Cooper plan to make the most out of this holiday season with their baby boy. This season of love, and togetherness, and joy. Happy holidays friends. Hug your people and keep them close.
