50th Anniversary Celebration | Oak Harbor, WA Family Photographer

My hubby Ryan and I celebrated 11 years of marriage this spring. Eleven years! In a way, the time has passed by so fast. Maybe it's the fact that we've moved four times with the Navy, or added three pets, two kids, and one business, but life seems to be flying by most days. Yet when I stop and look around at the life we've built, I wonder how we could be this lucky. I love our life and there is no one I'd rather call my partner for the next fifty years. 

When Barb contacted me about taking extended family pictures , I couldn't believe it when she said her whole family was traveling from Phoenix to Whidbey Island to celebrate her in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary. Wow! What an amazing milestone for "Mimi" and "Captain" (as the family lovingly calls Grandma and Grandpa), and what a treasure to celebrate it together.

Every member of the Everroad family was so sweet and easy-going, even though their Arizona skin was chilled a bit from the winds blowing off the Washington beach. They were troopers while we quickly took group pictures and family pictures around Fort Casey State Park before teeth started chattering. We even spotted a few seals who popped their heads out just off the shore to check out this beautiful family!
