Hey Blog Circle Warriors!
Let’s get our SEO game on, shall we?
What is a blog circle?
A blog circle is a great way to improve your SEO and make the Google overlords happy by linking TO your website and FROM your website. Not only are you blogging (hello new content!), but the circle aspect of this process encourages viewers to visit your site, while also creating SEO-positive links and comments.
Why do I need this in my life?
One blog circle is not going to make your website rank #1 on Google overnight. But blogging consistently and working with occasional blog circles are baby steps in the right direction.
What do I have to do?
Blog your session and hit the LIVE link (it won’t work if it’s in preview mode).
Complete the form below by March 1st. (Hint: Anchor text is a keyword-friendly phrase that your ideal client would type into Google to find you).
I’ll send out an email to all participating photographers and will give you the link, anchor text and theme to incorporate in your blog.
You’ll edit your blog to put in text like “Today I’m highlighting an awesome photographer Kara Chappell who recently documented a gorgeous Whidbey Island family portrait session on a frigging mountain-top! Check it out friends and spread the love!” The blog is linked to the anchor text (the highlighted live link). You need to know how to link to outside sources to participate.
Once everyone has completed the link, I’ll send out a follow-up email and will let you know that the links are all live.
You’ll comment on everyone’s blog post, and hopefully will promote your blog (and/or the blog you linked to) on social media.
It takes a few days to set up, but is easy-peezy. Promise!
Okay, sign me up!
You’re in? Great! Please complete the following form by March 1st if you’d like to participate in the blog circle, which will run the week of March 2-9.
